Need a place in Wiehl for a few weeks and don't want to spread your team across three hotel rooms? In Bielstein you get 120 m² for up to six people – four weeks in January come to around €18 per person per night with six of you.

Everything is close by: around 2 minutes to the stainless steel works on Bielsteiner Straße, 5 minutes to the Bomig West industrial estate, 6 minutes to Bomig Ost, 8 minutes to Ohlerhammer. Both motorway junctions are under ten minutes away.

  • Who sleeps where: With two of you, each has their own bedroom. With three, the sofa bed in the living room comes into use – that way everyone still has a bed to themselves. From four people upwards, two of you share a double bed. We'd rather say that up front than afterwards.
  • Cleaning once a week, towels and bed linen included – you don't have to order that separately
  • Kitchen with dishwasher, oven and crockery for twelve, plus a separate utility room with washing machine and dryer
  • Invoice made out to your company with VAT shown separately, on request as one collective invoice at the end of the month

Who's behind it

I'm Janine.

Both apartments are mine. I've been letting them for four years and I look after everything myself – the door codes, the laundry and the questions that still come in at ten in the evening.

There's no letting agency behind this. I live in the village myself: if something comes up, I'm there in ten minutes. And if you want to know where to eat really well around here, ask me – I won't just repeat what the review sites say.

Where you end up

In the middle of the Oberbergisches Land

Wiehl is a good half hour from Cologne, in the middle of the Bergisches Land. Hiking, water, woods – and still minutes from the A4.

On foot

Bakery, supermarket, pharmacy and station – all in the village centre.

By car

Cologne in 45 minutes, the A4 in 10. A parking space comes with the apartment, the charging point for electric cars is 100 metres away.

For hiking

The Bergischer Panoramasteig and the Wiehltalsperre start practically on the doorstep.

With children

The Wiehl stalactite cave, the monkey and bird park, the open-air pool – all close by.

The questions that always come up

How do I get into the apartment?
Through a keypad at the front door. You get the code and a short video showing how it works by email a week before you arrive. Check-in from 4 pm, check-out by 11 am.
What does the final cleaning cost?
If you book direct through this site: nothing. It's included in the price. If you book through a portal, €30 is added.
Can I park?
Yes, free of charge. In Bielstein in our own car park right by the house, at the Sonnenterrasse free on the street directly opposite.
Are pets allowed?
No, in neither apartment. That applies without exception – we'd rather say so beforehand than have someone standing at the door with a dog.
Is smoking allowed?
Not inside the apartment, and no e-cigarettes either. Outside is fine: in Bielstein on the terrace, at the Sonnenterrasse in Wiehl on the terrace too.
How many people fit in?
Up to six in the apartment in Bielstein: four in two double beds, two on the large sofa bed in the living room. The Sonnenterrasse is for two people.
